SUMSI is implementing the “Uvijek pri ruci” project as part of the ESF Operational Programme Efficient Human Resources 2014–2020 under the “Zaželi – Women’s Employment Programme – Phase II.” Conducted in partnership with the Zagreb Centre for Social Welfare and the Croatian Employment Service (Zagreb Regional Office), the project spans 18 months and is supported by a total grant of HRK 464,329.90 from the European Social Fund.
The project aims to empower and enhance the employability of five women facing significant barriers to employment, including those with lower levels of education, by hiring them within their local community. By hiring five women facing significant employment barriers within their local communities, the project not only mitigates unemployment and poverty risks but also promotes social inclusion and improves the quality of life for 30 beneficiaries.
Project activities include:
- Assisting with grocery deliveries.
- Helping with meal preparation in beneficiaries’ households.
- Maintaining cleanliness in beneficiaries’ homes.
- Assisting with dressing and personal hygiene.
- Supporting social integration.
- Mediating access to various rights (e.g., delivering medications, paying bills, providing equipment).
- Offering companionship and social interaction.
- Facilitating participation in social activities.
- Accompanying beneficiaries during community activities.
