Currently, “Hodalica” is the only radio programme dedicated to promoting activities and initiatives involving young people and students with disabilities. What makes Hodalica extra special is the fact that its entire production is supervised by individuals with disabilities themselves.
Tune in to Radio Student every Thursday at 11am on 100.5 MHz for a 20-minute broadcast covering news and updates on education, employment, health, leisure, and other aspects of life for young people and individuals with disabilities.
The programme highlights the progress and experiences of people with disabilities, features engaging and knowledgeable guests, encourages listener participation, and (of course) strives to make life for people with disabilities better and more relatable to the wider public.
The show is produced by individuals with disabilities alongside volunteer journalists from Radio Student, under the guidance of editor in chief Ivan Vlašić. The programme is a joint effort by the Croatian Union of Youth and Students with Disabilities (SUMSI) and Radio Student, with financial support from the City of Zagreb.
